Is there any way we can specify what our own preferences are for the fandoms we're offering? For example, I'm not comfortable writing erotic fiction and don't want to get too specific prompts that I couldn't do justice to.

Please check the stuff people is requesting and try to find requests you actually think you can do.

If your recipient suggests a list of likes (for example H/C, Domestic Fluff, Romantic Dinner, Marriage) even if not against the rules it is considered vey rude to gift a story as far as possible from the likes of your recipient (it is a GIFT fic, not a bingo card fill where you write whatever you like) so if you write them for example a gen case fic with a throw-away line to make you not get banned from the exchange, it would still put you in the Wanker participants list.
